How It All Started
Mangiare, the Italian addition to our family-run Boom Breakfast and Co. locations, was created with one goal in mind: to give families a place to enjoy delicious, homemade Italian meals at a reasonable price. We wanted to build a space where families didn’t have to dress up for a night out, and parents could enjoy authentic Italian food while still offering child-friendly options. A place you can visit multiple times a week and always feel welcome.

Mangiare is run by Shannon and James Cappellano, a family team who believe in providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all their guests. As parents to three children, the two understand the importance of creating a space where families can gather, enjoy homemade meals, and build lasting memories together. The recipes at Mangiare are inspired by James’ grandfather and aunts, bringing a touch of tradition to every plate we serve.

At Mangiare, we pride ourselves on using clean, homemade ingredients that cater to even the pickiest eaters. From adults to kids, our menu offers a variety of delicious options, making it easy for everyone in the family to enjoy their meal. Our relaxed atmosphere, fun music, and well-lit environment ensure that dining with us is always a pleasant experience. We’re also excited to host family fun nights to bring our community together even further!
Supporting Local Businesses
As a small, family-owned business, we believe in supporting others like us. We source our fresh pasta from a local store in the Junction neighbourhood, our seafood from a family-owned business in Bloor West Village, and our produce from a small, self-owned company. By working with local suppliers, we ensure that our ingredients are of the highest quality while supporting the community around us.
